CREATIVE LAWYERING SINCE 1926SM
Caesar Rivise, PC is internationally recognized as a leading U.S. intellectual property law firm.
The firm was founded in 1926 by Abraham Caesar. The following year, Caesar was joined by another attorney, Charles Rivise (pronounced RIV-is).
Together Mr. Caesar and Mr. Rivise practiced patent, trademark and copyright law and both men were soon recognized as leading authorities on IP law. This prompted the two to author a four-volume treatise on patent law called “Interference Law and Practice.” The success of this treatise was evident from its citation by the courts in hundreds of cases throughout the United States.
Shortly thereafter, Mr. Caesar and Mr. Rivise also authored “Patentability and Validity.” For over thirty years, the book was used as a textbook in virtually every law school teaching patent law in the United States.
The legacy of the founding partners lives on in the form of Caesar Rivise, PC. The firm continues on a daily basis to earn its global reputation as a leader in intellectual property law and litigation. Caesar Rivise has been and continues to be called upon to obtain thousands of U.S. and international patents and trademarks. The firm has served as lead counsel in hundreds of trials and appeals in courts throughout the United States, and as counsel of record in reexaminations, interferences and inter partes reviews in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
