Today, the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit invalidated the FCC’s net neutrality rules. Those rules made it illegal for telecom companies to favor certain types of traffic over others, i.e., it restricted telecom companies to “treat all Internet traffic the same regardless of source”. The court ruled that the commission lacked the authority to implement and enforce such rules.
