Caesar Rivise, PC’s Allison White was a featured speaker at the February 17, 2021 virtual meeting of the Philadelphia Intellectual Property Law Association (PIPLA).
Allison’s presentation focused on the preclusive effect of International Trade Commission (ITC) determinations related to trademarks. The discussion focused on factors to consider when litigating before the ITC, advantages and disadvantages of consent orders, and the potential for ITC trademark decisions to become preclusive on the district courts after the Federal Circuit’s 2019 Swagway LLC v. International Trade Commission decision.
